Entire nations prepare to move to new lands as global warming’s rising seas inundate their countries
This is no joke.
Tens of thousands of people have already become refugees of climate change.
Now, the first democratically elected President of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed, is setting aside a fund for his country (with monies coming from its lucrative - but soon to be lost - tourism industry) to buy land in Sri Lanka, India, or perhaps even Australia as the Indian Ocean slowly creeps up - overtaking its beaches, and soon, the entire island nation.
